Whenever the Sheriff needs them, the Reserves are on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year. They could have as much as a weeks notice or as little as a five minute phone call. Reserves sacrifice their spare time while off from their full time job and responsibilites to assist the Sheriff's Office in performing it's law enforcement duties to the citizens of Montgomery County.

	Some of the Reserve Deputies have prior law enforcement experience. For some of the Deputies the Reserves offer a chance to see if law enforcment is indeed a career they would like to pursue. However, for all the Reserve Deputies this organization provides an excellent opportunity to contribute in our community.

Reserve Deputies are utilized by the Sheriff to assist with patrolling, prisoner extraditions, and serving warrants. The Reserves also assist in the courtrooms during high profile cases with guarding juries and providing for extra security.

The Reserves are supervised by SGT Brian Prentice from the Criminal Investigations office and is assisted by SGT Jimmy Brown from the Patrol Division.
