    • Non Profit Organization. None of the Deputies receive any type of income from the Sheriff's Office or the county.
    • The only funding the Reserve Unit receives for equipment is via fundraisers they hold and donations.
    • All Reserve Deputies are P.O.S.T certified and commissioned officers with the same duties and responsibilities as full time Deputies.

    • All Reserve Deputies are volunteers. Some of their regular duties include: Patrol, prisoner and mental patient transport, special events, guarding juries, court duties, and serving warrents.
    • Deputies are on call 24 hrs a day 365 a year. They are required to work one patrol shift per month along with four special duties per year. Further requirements are monthly meetings/training along with yearly in-service classes.
    • Reserves volunteer on average 1500 hrs a month saving the county and tax payers thousands of dollars per month.
    • Each Deputy furnishes their own personal protection equipment and partial uniforms.
